Apa itu Proactive test dan bagaimana hasil test Antivirusnya ?
Secara singkat, Proactive / Retrospective Test merupakan test terhadap virus (malware) baru yang belum dikenal (belum terdapat dalam database).
Test kali ini menggunakan Antivirus dan versi yang sama dengan test sebelumnya, dan semua produk antivirus di update pada tanggal 10 Agustus 2009. Sedangkan Malware (virus) yang digunakan diambil dari virus baru yang muncul diantara tanggal 11 sampai 17 Agustus 2009 dengan Jumlah total sebanyak 23.237 malware (worm, backdoor,trojan dan virus).
Inilah keunikan Proactive test, dimana antivirus digunakan untuk mengetes antivirus baru yang belum terdapat dalam daftar databasenya. Sehingga Antivirus biasanya menggunakan deteksi yang lebih dalam terhadap tingkah laku file/virus tersebut. Dan memang wajar jika hasilnya cukup banyak yang tidak terdeteksi.
